Pasig City gov’t offers cash rewards to high school, senior HS honor students

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Pasig  City will provide cash incentives to honor students of city high schools and senior high schools in support of basic education.

On Wednesday, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto signed the resolution granting cash rewards for deserving honor students to “help young Pasigueños achieve their educational goals.”

“Just signed Resolution approving the grant of cash gifts to our ES and HS students graduating with Honors!” Sotto said in a tweet.

Under the resolution, elementary students who graduated with highest honors will receive P1,500 each, those with high honors to get P1,000 and those with honors to get P500.

For Senior High School students, those who finished with the highest honors will get P3,000, those with high honors will get P1,000 and those with honors to get P500.

Based on the Department of Education’s official website, there are 39 Senior High Schools in Pasig City.
