TACLOBAN CITY – Classes in all levels both in public and private schools in Tacloban City were suspended on Monday due to inclement weather.

Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, through Executive Order number 20-02-189, said the suspension of classes was intended to ensure the safety of students.

“As a precautionary measure and anticipation of any development that may arise out of the weather disturbance, classes are suspended in all levels both in private and public schools,” he said.

Since Sunday, Tacloban City has been experiencing moderate to heavy rains.
