2 men wanted for rape held in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY –– Two men wanted for rape complaints in Nabua town in Camarines Sur province and Irosin town in Sorsogon province were arrested by police operatives on Saturday morning in separate police raids.

John Philip Sila, 21, a resident of Barangay Sto. Domingo, Nabua, who was facing rape charges and considered number one most wanted person, was nabbed at his residence around 2 a.m. by police armed with a warrant of arrest, Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said.

In Bacoor City, Cavite, police operatives collared Jay-ar Judin, 29, a resident of Irosin, Sorsogon at a mall in Barangay Molino around 9 a.m. The suspect was facing rape complaints in Irosin.

The suspects would be presented for arraignment to the courts in Camarines Sur and Sorsogon handling the rape cases./lzb
