Ex-Lanao Norte village exec, under surveillance for 4 months, falls in drug bust
ILIGAN CITY—A former village official in Baloi, Lanao del Norte was arrested in a drug bust some four months after police surveilled him for drug dealing.
Maj. Allan Abalde, of the city police, said Jamil Solaiman Camid, 44, alias Jamjam, was caught after he sold some P80,000 worth of shabu, or crystal meth, to an undercover cop.
Camid, former village councilor of Poblacion East, has been on the police list of drug suspects, according to Abalde.
Camid was in his car during the sting operation. He yielded some 20 grams of meth.
Police also seized Camid’s mobile phone which was believed to be used in his drug deals.
