MANILA, Philippines — Only isolated light rain showers are expected over Metro Manila on the day of Traslacion as no major weather system is expected to affect the region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Wednesday afternoon.

The state weather bureau said the temperature in Metro Manila would range from 22 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius on January 9, Thursday, with isolated light rain showers due to northeast monsoon.

Pagasa is also not expecting any storms to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next two to three days.

Cagayan Valley, parts of Cordillera Region, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon are also expected to experience cloudy skies with isolated light rain showers due to northeast monsoon.

Pagasa has raised gale warning over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Calayan Islands with waves as high as four meters.
