Palm reader fools client into paying $70,000 to exorcize demon from daughter

A woman who owns a palm reading business in Massachusetts, United States allegedly tricked her client into giving her over $70,000 (around P3.5 million) to banish a demon possessing the client’s daughter. The palm reader was charged with larceny, as the police urged the woman’s other victims to come forward and contact the authorities.

Tracey Milanovich, the owner of Tracy’s Psychic Palm Reader, was arrested on Dec. 27 as per Somerset Police Department’s statement on their website on Jan. 2.

Aside from the cash, Milanovich’s client claimed she was also deceived into purchasing other household items such as towels and beddings.

The police launched an investigation on Dec. 17, after Milanovich’s victim went to the authorities.

Milanovich was charged with six counts of obtaining property over $250 (about P12,700) by trick, larceny and intimidation of a witness. She has been arraigned and court proceedings continue, as of this writing. Cha Lino/JB
