2 injured, 600 families affected in New Year’s Day fire in Manila
MANILA, Philippines — Around 600 families were affected when fire broke out at a residential area in Sta. Ana, Manila only hours after residents ushered in the new year.
An on-scene spot report from the city fire department showed that the fire started at around 3:50 a.m.
The fire was raised to Task Force Bravo at around 5:20 a.m and was declared under control at 6:45 a.m.

The report said at least two were injured from the fire.
The Manila Fire Department estimated the cost of damage at around P2.5 million, according to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
