QC shortens procedures for payment of taxes

Anticipating the influx of taxpayers in January 2020, the Quezon City government has simplified the payment process for business and real property taxes.

From six steps, the City Treasurer’s Office has cut the process to four steps—fill out forms, evaluation and assessment, signature of city treasurer, and payment—with an estimated processing time of 30 minutes per transaction.

Clients with seven or more transactions can proceed directly to the City Treasurer’s Office located at the second floor of the Annex Building of the City Hall.

The city government expects around 75,000 to 80,000 taxpayers in January. —MARIEJO S. RAMOS
