Bus nudges motorcycle, kills ex-village chair in Lucena City
LUCENA CITY – A former village captain in this city died after the motorcycle that he was riding was bumped by a bus in a road accident here early on Monday (Dec 16), police said.
Police said Pedrito Ranillo, 76 and former chief of Talao-Talao village came from the city hall compound and was entering the diversion road when he was accidentally bumped by a Manila-bound Cagsawa bus being driven by Roberto Trinidad at Kanlurang Mayao village around 7 a.m.
Ranillo was thrown off his motorcycle, fell on the ground and died on the spot.
Trinidad, the bus driver, was detained at the city police jail. Delfin T. Mallari Jr.
