Tisoy no longer directly affects PH; LPA spotted outside PARMANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Tisoy is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

According to the state weather bureau’s 5 p.m. weather bulletin, Tisoy was located 380 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph.

It is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 kph.

Pagasa said that while Tisoy no longer directly affects the country, a low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted outside PAR.

The LPA, however, has low chance of developing into storm within the next 48 hours.

The state weather bureau said the northeast monsoon affects Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos Region, and Central Luzon.

Pagasa has raised gale warning over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon including Polilio Islands, Camarines Norte, northern coast of Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
