Sharon Cuneta wants Pangilinan out of the house – Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Sharon Cuneta wants her husband, Sen. Francis Pangilinan, out of their home, President Rodrigo Duterte said as he again criticized the opposition senator on Saturday during the celebration of 156th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio in Caloocan.

“Pinapaalis na nga ng asawa sa bahay niya [Pangilinan]. Walang ibang natirhan. Totoo tanungin mo. Kung sabihin mo nagsisinungaling ako, I will resign,” Duterte said in his speech at the Bonifacio Monument.

[His wife wants him out of their house. He cannot find other places to stay. It’s true. Ask him. If you think I am lying, I will resign.]

Duterte said this after he denounced Pangilinan for authoring the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006 which exempts minors below 15 years of age from criminal responsibility.

“He was the one who authored the law that you cannot arrest 15-year-olds. They were in and out of prison because of the Pangilinan law,” Duterte said, speaking partly in Filipino.

Pangilinan previously said in an interview that Cuneta’s support for Duterte might have divided their family.
