LOOK: About 2,000 families affected by Mandaluyong fire

MANILA, Philippines – As many as 2,000 families have been affected by the fire that ravaged Barangay Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City Friday.

Senior Inspector Joscar Bongalon, head of the city fire bureau’s fire safety enforcement section said at least 500 houses were destroyed by the fire that has yet to be declared out as of posting time.

Firetrucks and ambulances are still lined up on Martinez Street while affected families are still scattered along the area.

Mayor Menchie Abalos already rushed to the scene and coordinated with the barangay officials.
