Cops arrest 3 in dawn drug buy-bust in Ecija town

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija—Police arrested three construction workers during a buy-bust operation here at dawn on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito, Talavera police chief, said siblings Alvin Mangunay, 45, and Roberto, 37 and Roberto Gonzales, 34, had been under surveillance by the local police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Police recovered 16 sachets of crystal meth, or shabu, and P1,000 in marked money.

The three face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Armand Galang
