Travelers advised to be at the airport 3 hours early
The Bureau of Immigration urged travelers on Friday to be at the airport early for their flights in the coming days, especially as the country’s hosting of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the holiday rush are expected to draw in more passengers and possibly cause buildups in the airports.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said passenger arrivals and departures were expected to increase by 3 percent, especially with the holiday season near.
On top of this, an estimated 8,000 delegates will be flying into the country for the SEA Games.
Medina said passengers should be at the airport at least three hours before their flight, as sudden buildups might occur when delayed flights arrive simultaneously.—JOVIC YEE
