Sandiganbayan: Evidence vs ex-Cainta execs strong

/ 04:12 AM November 23, 2019

The Sandiganbayan Sixth Division maintained that the evidence against former local officials of Cainta, Rizal, in their graft case is strong.

In a resolution, the antigraft court denied the motion for leave to file a demurrer to evidence of officer in charge of the General Services Office Marciano Doroteo, Budget Officer III Glady Formales and Municipal Budget Officer Privada Gonzales in their case involving the irregular purchase of a Contex scanner and miscellaneous supplies.

“After a thorough review of the records of the cases and the evidence submitted by the prosecution, the court finds that, if unrebutted, the same is sufficient to support a verdict of guilt,” the resolution said.
