Students turn dog poo into ‘bio bricks’
A group of secondary school students in Payatas, Quezon City, has found a way to convert poo from stray dogs into a mixture for bricks, ridding city streets of excrement and potentially lowering construction costs.
As part of a research project, eighth graders from the science class of Mark Acebuche, gathered and air-dried dog feces, which were then mixed with cement powder and molded into rectangular “bio bricks.”
