3 police officers fired for extortion
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the dismissal of three police officials accused of extorting money from a bidder in the procurement of P334 million worth of body cameras for the Philippine National Police.
“Because of corruption. And so I said, fire them, dismiss them,” Mr. Duterte said on Wednesday.
PNP officer in charge Police Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa signed the dismissal orders of Police Majors Emerson Sales, Rholly Caraggayan and Angel Beros.
