Ex-Iligan gov’t employee jailed for sex abuse of minor househelp

ILIGAN CITY—Police arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 13 yet, a former member of the Iligan City government’s Civil Security Unit for allegedly raping his househelp who is a minor.

Maj. Allan Abalde, chief of Iligan City Police Station 5, said Ray Baldicantos, 53, resident of Canaway village here, was arrested through a warrant issued by Judge Anisah Aminoding-Umpa of the Iligan City Regional Trial Court Branch 2.

Abalde said the minor househelp had accused Baldicantos of sexually molesting her eight times between July and August this year. Baldicantos is now detained and awaiting the start of trial for a charge of child abuse.
