KORONADAL CITY—Unidentified motorcycle-riding assassins shot dead on Thursday, Nov. 14, a former provincial legislator of South Cotabato in a brazen attack that again showed the level of impunity with which a life can be snuffed out.

The victim, Vicente Yungco Jr., former village chair of Poblacion and former ex-officio provincial board member for the Liga ng Mga Barangay, was driving his vehicle on Dallah Street around noon when two gunmen came close and shot him.

Police are now investigating.
