Man nabbed for making bomb joke at Davao airport
MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a man for allegedly cracking a bomb joke as he was about to depart Davao City on Sunday morning.
According to the Davao Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), Ramon Barrios, a 40-year-old outbound passenger at the Davao International Airport was scheduled to depart at 7:40 a.m.
The flight crew helped Barrios carry his baggage. Later he said: “Kanang bomba.”

The lead cabin crew member then informed the security agency. Barrios was then arrested by members of PRO 11 Aviation Security Group.
Barrios will be charged for violating Presidential Decree No. 1727 — the anti-bomb joke law.
