Woman bites penis to escape alleged sexual assault

A man whose penis was severed after allegedly assaulting a woman sexually is out on a $75,000 (P3.8 million) bond in South Carolina, USA.

Dennis Slaton, a 61-year-old registered sex offender, was charged last August with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping after a woman, fleeing his house naked, claimed she had been sexually assaulted, the Greenville News reported on Monday, Oct. 28.

Both Slaton and his alleged victim did not appear at the bond hearing, Judge James Hudson told the Greenville News on Monday.

The woman said in an incident report from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office that she was seeing someone whom he had met online, 7News reported on Tuesday, Oct. 29. She saw Slaton in his truck at a gas station and boarded it, but felt something was wrong and asked him to drop her off. She gave him $5, but when he took a turn away from the location she requested, he put a knife to her throat and said she owed him $300.

He brought her to his house and sexually assaulted her, as well as threatened to kill her. The woman bit Slaton’s penis and got hold of the knife he used against her. She stabbed him in the butt and ran from his house as he chased her.

A neighbor living across Slaton’s house said that a woman begged for help on her front door on the night of Aug. 8. The neighbor did not open the door for her, noting that the woman was naked and covered in blood, as seen in security camera footage.

The woman ran to other houses to beg for help and received assistance when she arrived at a Waffle House that is estimated to be half a mile away from the scene of the reported incident.

Slaton confirmed the injuries and denied the allegations made by the woman. The suspect’s lawyer said he was in intensive care for a month due to the injuries he sustained, as per 7News.

“He’s done been caught that many times, he don’t need it,” neighbor Jeron Lynch, who lives a few houses away from Slaton, told 7News.

“It was pretty bad, pretty tragic, what happened to me,” Slaton said. According to Greenville News, he has had multiple criminal convictions that date to as far back as 1977.  Niña V. Guno /ra
