Big-time ‘weeds’ supplier busted in Lucena

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a major supplier of marijuana or “weeds” in this city in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday afternoon.

Jhun Odiver, 29, was collared by anti-illegal drugs operatives after he sold marijuana to an undercover police officer in Barangay 4 around 5 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report.

Odiver yielded 775.7 grams of “weeds” in 25 plastic sachets, 17 rolled transparent plastics, a digital weighing scale, cigarette paper, and marijuana smoking paraphernalia.

Police said the confiscated marijuana has an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P93,084; and street market value of P279,253.

Police tagged the suspect as a big-time supplier of “weeds” to local drug pushers targeting students and out of school youths as clients. /lzb
