NPA leader nabbed in Kidapawan
KIDAPAWAN CITY –– A top official of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Mindanao was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a checkpoint in the city that was manned by police and Army soldiers.
Lt. Col. Rodjun Rosales, commander of the Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion, identified the NPA leader as Mindaley Satentes Genotiva, alias Karla.
Genotiva is facing five counts of attempted murder, two counts of frustrated murder, and one count of murder in the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 here.
Rosales said Genotiva was the head of the urban committee of the NPA in Mindanao.
Genotiva is now detained at the custodial facility of the Kidapawan police station./lzb
