5 suspected small-time ‘shabu’ peddlers fall in Quezon

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested five suspected street-level drug pushers in simultaneous operations in Quezon province on Friday.

Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police director, said in a report that anti-illegal drugs operatives conducted buy-bust operations and collared Mark Anthony Dela Peña, 33, in Tayabas City around 11:30 p.m.; Billy Joe Rada, 30, in Lucban town, 7:30 p.m.; and Mark Aljon Diola in Candelaria town, 10:30 a.m.

Authorities confiscated from the suspects 17 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing 2.68 grams and worth P14,740 in the street market.

In Mauban town, policemen armed with search warrants also collared Alfeo Eviza Jr., 52, and Julito Pelejo, separate raids in their respective residents.

The raiders seized four sachets of shabu weighing less than one gram from the suspects.
