Did You Know: 8,512 typhoid fever cases recorded Jan-May 2019

According to the Epidemiology Bureau of the Department of Health, a total of 8,512 cases of typhoid fever were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to May 25 this year.

This was 5% higher compared to the 8,131 cases reported during the same period in 2018. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
