MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte will name the two police officials / “ninja cops” who allegedly sell illegal drugs seized from legitimate anti-drug operations, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said Tuesday.
Go said the President is just waiting for the results of the investigation of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“Papangalanan po ng Pangulo ang dalawang colonel na sinasabing ninja cops. Hintayin po natin ang resulta ng imbestigasyon ng DILG at DOJ. Managot (ang) dapat managot (The President will identify the two police colonels who are said to be ninja cops. We just have to wait for the result of the DILG and DOJ investigation. The guilty ones will be held responsible),” Go said in a statement.
Duterte earlier said he got confused with the changes in ranks and mistook the police colonels for generals.
