Magnitude 3.6 earthquake jolts Calatagan
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.6 earthquake shook Calatagan town in Batangas on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck at 12:54 p.m., some 25 kilometers southwest of Calatagan.

The tremor was of tectonic origin, according to Phivolcs, and had a 126-kilometer depth of focus.

Phivolcs said the quake was also felt at Instrumental Intensity I in Calatagan, Batangas; Puerto Galera and Oriental Mindoro.
No aftershocks and damage may be expected from the temblor, Phivolcs added. /kga
