German pedophile arrested in Misamis Occidental
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration announced on Tuesday the arrest of a German national wanted for child and adolescent pornography.
Immigration Chief Jaime Morente identified the foreign national as Alfons Hermann Keitt, 71.
Morente said that Keitt was arrested by members of the immigration fugitive search unit last September 19 in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.
Keitt’s arrest was made after the German embassy in Manila informed the bureau about a pending arrest warrant issued by a local court in the town of Landshut, Germany against him.
Quoting the German Embassy, Morente said that “Keitt was convicted of committing aggravated child abuse against three different victims and, in more than 200 other cases, he was found to have possessed hundreds of child pornographic images and videos.”
Seized from Keitt during his arrest were a total of 190 child pornography images, 112 child pornography videos, 28 adolescent pornography images and 10 adolescent pornography videos.
He also allegedly violated the conditions of his probation not to come within 100 meters of schools, swimming pools, and other facilities frequented by children.
“We will deport him immediately as his presence here poses a serious threat to the lives and safety of our Filipino children,” Morente said in a statement.
“And to ensure that he does not return, we will put him in our blacklist,” he added
Keitt’s passport has already been revoked by the German government. /je
