Cloudy skies on Saturday over Visayas, Zamboanga, parts of Luzon — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring cloudy skies over Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and parts of Luzon on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Mimaropa Region, Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will also experience scattered and thunderstorms because of the “habagat.”
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain, due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said Tropical Depression “Marilyn” was last spotted at 1,150 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes.
Article continues after this advertisementMarilyn is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center, and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
The tropical depression was also seen moving north at 10 kph, the state weather bureau added. /muf
