Fire hits residential area in Makati
MANILA, Philippines—Fire hit a residential area in Makati but has been brought under control more than an hour later, a National Capital Region Bureau of Fire Protection officer said Thursday.
Fire Officer 1 Renalyn Tatad said that the blaze, which started at 10:43 a.m. and reached second alarm at 11:48 a.m., razed a residential area in Camia Street, Palm Ville, in the village of Guadalupe Viejo in Makati City.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze at 12:19 p.m.
The number of houses and displaced families, as well as the cost of damages, have yet to be determined, Tatad said.
As of the moment, she said that there were no reported injuries and casualties yet.
