US Embassy closed on Wednesday, Aug. 21

MANILA, Philippines — The Embassy of the United States in the Philippines and its affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Wednesday, Aug. 21 in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day.

The Embassy said Friday it would resume its regular services on Thursday, Aug. 22.


Ninoy Aquino Day is a national non-working holiday in the Philippines commemorating the death of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino who was assassinated on August 21, 1983.  /muf
