Pagasa sees weekend rain showers, thunderstorms

MANILA, Philippines – Effects of the southwest monsoon will prevail in Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.

Pagasa said that the Ilocos region, Zambales and Bataan, would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms which could trigger flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due localized thunderstorms. /gsg
