Trillanes to teach in UP, Ateneo after Senate stint

MANILA, Philippines — After his stint in the Senate, former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is now looking forward to a “more relaxing life” as he is set to teach college students in two of the country’s prime universities.

“More relaxing life after the Senate and right now, I am preparing for my teaching work this coming semester,” Trillanes, whose term expired on June 30, told ABS-CBN News Channel on Tuesday.

“It is in UP [University of the Philippines-Diliman] and Ateneo [de Manila University],” he added.

Trillanes, a known critic of President Rodrigo Duterte, noted that he will teach “Public Policy” in UP Diliman while the specific courses that he will handle in Ateneo are still being deliberated.

Trillanes previously bared to the media in various interviews about his plan to join the academe to teach when his term in Senate ends. /jpv
