MANILA, Philippines—President Rodrigo Duterte wishes Narvacan Mayor Chavit Singson good luck in his next “gimmick” to try to lean on Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s shoulder.

Duterte was referring to a viral video of Singson and Catriona in a waiting room during Manny Pacquiao’s fight in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas over the weekend.

In the 10-second video, Catriona was seen using her smartphone while Singson appears to be taking a nap as they were sitting beside each other. Shortly, Singson can be seen slowly turning on Catriona’s shoulder, but he suddenly woke up when the Miss Universe took notice.

“Si (Sen.) Bong (Go) sige panood doon sa gimmick mo doon sa…sabi niya tignan mo talaga si Chavit oh,” Duterte said, drawing laughter from the crowd.

“Well wala akong…we do not have that kind of opportunity to be…ikaw lang ‘yun, sir. So we can only say good luck and may the next mission be accomplished,” he added.
