More than P1M bounty offered for suspects in ambush of Negros cops
MANILA, Philippines — The government is offering more than P1 million reward money for any information that can lead to the arrest of the masterminds and cohorts who killed four policemen in Negros Oriental.
Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo confirmed on Sunday that President Rodrigo Duterte visited the wake of the four police personnel last Saturday and met with the authorities there.
“The President thereafter convened a Command Conference with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police where the developments relative to the investigation on the incident were discussed,” Panelo said in a statement.

“According to the Chief Executive, a P1 million reward will be given for the capture, whether dead or alive, of the masterminds, perpetrators, and main shooters of the four police intel personnel. A PhP50,000 reward, on the other hand, will be given for the capture, of all the conspirators involved in this felonious activity,” he added.
The Office of the President likewise extended its condolences to the bereaved families of the four police personnel that were killed by members of New People’s Army on Thursday, July 18.

“We will ensure that justice will be served to those behind this condemnable offense against our peace enforcers. The full force of the law will come crushing down on the perpetrators,” he said. /je
