Man nabbed for splashing acid on woman’s face in Albay
TABACO CITY — A man was arrested in this city Friday afternoon after he threw acid on the face of a woman last May.
Ramon Collada, 30, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. in a hot pursuit operation for allegedly splashing acid on the face of Glory Cris Cuerda on May 15 when the two were in Pasay City.
Col. Wilson Asueta, Albay police director, said the suspect was arrested in Quinale village.
Tabaco City police said Collada’s action was triggered by jealousy after he learned that his former lover was already the victim’s boyfriend.
The report said the acid hit the victim’s eye and this may lead to blindness. Michael B. Jaucian
