MANILA, Philippines — The Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, and Bataan are expected to experience rain due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the weather bureau said in its 4:00 a.m. Friday forecast.

Metro Manila, the Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), and the rest of Central Luzon and Cagayan Valley, meanwhile, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms also due to the monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
