MANILA, Philippines — Some local government units suspended classes on Friday, July 19, due to heavy rain brought by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

Storm signals have already been lifted as Tropical Storm “Falcon” (international name: Danas) left the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday afternoon, but the monsoon continues to affect parts of the country, specifically Luzon, the weather bureau said in its 4:00 a.m. Friday forecast.

Classes are suspended on Friday, July 19, in the following areas:

All levels, public and private:
– Hagonoy, Bulacan,
– Tagudin, Ilocos Sur
– Meycauayan:
> Saluysoy Integrated School
> Tugatog Elementary School
> Bancal Integrated School
> Barangay Caingin
> Barangay Liputan
