2 college students caught with P1.1M worth of marijuana

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan, Philippines — Two college students were caught with P1. 1 million worth of marijuana in a police drug bust at dawn on Saturday in Balagtas town, according to the Bulacan Provincial Police Office.

About 5.5 kilograms of the contraband were seized from Paolo Licud, 21, and Mark John Paul Bateni, 18.

The Balagtas police are verifying reports that they had been trafficking marijuana in Bulacan high schools and colleges. —Carmela Reyes-Estrope
