Isko Moreno offers P1M reward for arrest of suspects in Binondo bank robbery
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday offered a P1 million reward to anyone who could provide information for the arrest of the suspects that robbed a bank in Binondo.
“I am now offering P1 million for the arrest of these at least 7 suspects na kinuha yung CCTV ng bangko,” Moreno said.
“To those individuals na nanonood, lahat ng nanonood, sino man sa inyo ang nakakaalam, makakaalam, makapagbibigay ng impormasyon para masakote itong mga kriminal na pumunta sa Maynila, bibigyan po namin kayo ng pabuya na isang milyong piso,” he added.
The Metrobank branch in Binondo was robbed by at least seven suspects around 8:40 a.m.
According to Moreno, police authorities are now conducting dragnet operation to hunt down the suspects following the incident.
He then warned that the local government of Manila would not stop in its pursuit of the seven suspects.
“We will pursue, hahanapin po namin kayo, hindi namin kayo bibigyan ng kapanatagan. Hindi namin kayo papayagan na guluhin, perwisyuhin ang mamamayan ng lungsod ng Maynila,” he said.
“You cannot escape the long arm of the law, sabi nga ng kasabihan, and we will try to do that and go after him. Sa lahat ng enforcement units ng buong Pilipinas, nananawagan ako sa inyo, habulin niyo ito. Kunin nyo itong mga taong ito. Dalhin natin sila sa mata ng batas, papapanagutin natin sila,” Moreno added./je
