‘So loud’: Foul gas expelled by suspect leads to his arrest

/ 05:21 PM July 10, 2019

A suspect was arrested over the weekend after a rather absurd accident — the sound of his flatulence revealed his hiding spot.

The suspect, wanted for possession of a controlled substance, was hiding to avoid the police in Missouri, United States, but he expelled gas loudly that it gave away his location, as per the Clay County Sheriff’s Twitter post on Tuesday, July 9.

“If you’ve got a felony warrant for your arrest, the cops are looking for you and you pass gas so loud it gives up your hiding spot, you’re definitely having a [poop] day,” the local sheriff said. The sheriff’s office also acknowledged the police in a separate post for “sniff[ing] out” the suspect.

The Liberty Police Department commended the sheriff’s office, as per another Twitter post a few hours later, “for airing out a wanted person’s dirty laundry and fanning the flames.”

According to the police, “no one was injured” during the suspect’s arrest. JB
