Cops nab 2 suspects; confiscate P256K illegal drugs in QC buy busts

MANILA, Philippines — Two suspects were arrested while P256,000 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in two separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City.

On Saturday, members of Novaliches police station under Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas arrested Maribeth Albano, 48, of Caloocan City at Barangay Sauyo, Novaliches at 12:30 a.m.


Seized from her were P136,000 worth of shabu; cellphone used for drug trade; and marked money.

On Friday, law enforcers from Kamuning police station under Lt. Col. Louise Tremor apprehended Jayvee Bare, 22, near Tandang Sora Avenue in Barangay Tandang Sora at 10 p.m.


Confiscated from him were one brick of dried marijuana, with an estimated street value of P120,000, and cellphone used for the drug transactions.

The suspects were detained as charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
