DID YOU KNOW: 2,100 accidents handled by MMDA in 2018

According to the annual report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), of the 2,110 accidents or road emergencies handled by its personnel last year, 2,016 were cleared within the 15-minute maximum allotted time while 94 were cleared beyond the time limit. Out of the 1,132 stalled vehicles towed or assisted by the MMDA, 1,044 were cleared within 15 minutes while 88 were cleared beyond the allotted time. —MARIELLE MEDINA, INQUIRER RESEARCH
