Suspect in shooting of British national nabbed in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — Police collared one of the suspects in the shooting of a British national in Pasay City on Friday afternoon.

In a report, the Pasay City police said they arrested Abubakar Datumalo, also known as “Randan” or “Abit” after they received complaints about a well-known robbery suspect carrying a firearm tucked in his waistline.

Police arrested Datumalo, a suspected member of the so-called “Sputnik,” along Bagong Cuneta St. in Barangay 190, Zone 20, Pasay City, at around 5 p.m.

Seized from the suspect were a Colt caliber .45 pistol, seven live ammunition, and four small sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth).
