MANILA, Philippines – Outgoing Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is lining up many lawsuits against Peter Joemel Advincula, after the latter dragged him in an alleged ouster plot against the President.
Advincula claimed to be “Bikoy,” the hooded man in the so-called “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos that linked President Rodrigo Duterte’s relatives and allies to the illegal drug trade.
He, however, recanted his allegations and said the Liberal Party and other opposition members, including Trillanes, were behind the videos.
Asked over ABS-CBN News Channel on Tuesday if he would go after Advincula , Trillanes said: “Most definitely. There are so many cases being lined up against this fellow but what we need to do first is to demolish his credibility because he’s not telling the truth.”
Trillanes said Advincula is liable for perjury for executing three different affidavits.
Advincula’s first affidavit was supposedly executed in 2016 when he also accused former President Benigno C. Aquino III and some his allies of being involved in illegal drugs.
Trillanes said Advincula likewise issued a signed sworn statement when he first surfaced last May 6 and claimed to be “Bikoy” in the videos.

And the third affidavit, he said, was the one being presented by the Philippine National Police after Advincula recanted his allegations.
“And that makes him liable for perjury because these notarized affidavits are legally binding and this Bikoy character will not stand in court. It’s very easy to debunk his claims,” Trillanes said.
Trillanes though earlier admitted being approached by Advincula but said the latter did not pass their vetting process. (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
