Magnitude 5.4 quake hits Sultan Kudarat
DIGOS CITY –– A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck the waters off Palimbang town in Sultan Kudarat early Thursday, June 6, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake, which happened at 4:41 a.m., was tectonic in origin, with the epicenter situated some 29 kilometers northeast of the town and at a depth of 476 km, Phivolcs said.
The quake was felt at Intensity 1 in General Santos City.
