‘Salvage victim’ found in Quezon
LUCENA CITY -– An unidentified man, believed to be a “salvage” or summary execution victim, was found in Padre Burgos town in Quezon province Wednesday night.
A report from the Quezon police, said the man, who has yet to be identified, was found at the roadside in Sitio Guitong in Barangay Sipa around 7:30 p.m.
The man’s wounded head was wrapped with masking tape, while his hands were also tied with masking tape behind his back.
He was wearing a blue “sando” (undershirt) and maroon shorts.
Patrolman Raul Almario, police investigator in Padre Burgos, said the victim’s body was brought to Funeraria Pagbilao in Lucena.
He said the police were still trying to identify the victim and the culprits behind the killing. (Editor: Leti Boniol)
