BACOLOD CITY – The body of a seven year-old girl was found stuffed in a sack in Barangay 6-A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Sunday night.
An autopsy conducted by the Victorias City Health Office showed that the victim was sexually abused, Col. Eduardo Corpuz, Victorias City police chief said.
The victim, a Grade 2 student, also suffered severe head and body injuries, a dislocated neck and a laceration in her genital area.
Corpuz identified the suspect in the murder of the minor as Mark Besa, a high value target in the war on drugs.
Initial investigation showed that the girl was asked by the suspect to buy cigarettes, but hours later she was found dead in a sack on a vacant lot.
Witnesses claimed that suspect possibly tried bury the victim to conceal his crime. (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
