‘Respect should be given to everyone,’ says Palace on Tulfo fit vs Bautista
MANILA, Philippines — ‘Respect should be given to everyone’ not just to government officials, Malacañang said Monday, days after broadcaster Erwin Tulfo went mad and unleashed tirades against Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the Cabinet is “supporting” Bautista after Tulfo berated the DSWD chief on air during the May 28 episode of his program on state-run Radyo Pilipinas.
“Respect should be given to everyone and it should also be earned,” Panelo said in a Palace briefing.
Tulfo has publicly apologized for his “excessive” ranting against Bautista.

On Monday, Tulfo even said he might have to “tone down and change my lifestyle” as he issued another public apology over the infamous incident.

“There’s no question to that. We are supporting General Bautista. There is no problem on that, we are supporting him,” he said.
Will the Palace order an investigation on the controversial episode of Tulfo?
“As I said, the President will not interfere on any feud between two individuals,” Panelo noted. He said Communications Secretary Martin Andanar would decide on the issue.
