MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte has signed a law transferring the jurisdiction on the training of police recruits to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Duterte signed Republic Act 11279 on April 12 but a copy of the law was released to the media only on Thursday.

The new law would transfer the control of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) and the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) from the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) to the PNP.  (Editor: Mike U. Frialde)
